MOVIE REVIEW OF THE MOVIE"THE HILLS HAVE EYES"

Movie review of the hills have eyes

You will be confused with the starting of the movie ,where you will see some 70s or 80s news archives of the nuclear tests in the united states which is the basis for our movie. It seems that nuclear tests were conducted near some abandoned mines where some of the miner and their families refused to leave.the united states still conducted the tests in which many were killed and those who survived has got the genetic disorders due to the exposure to the radiation.their offspring too were affected with severe facial and body deformities, they lived in seclusion from the outside world in the mines.their existence is known only to the owner of the gas pump , he usually sends some of his customers to their area whom they use to kill and steal.in this movie ,we are following one such family who were sent to their area.whether they can survive the ordeal? That’s the synopsis of the story.

As far as my opinion is considered it is the usual thriller from Hollywood but this deals with a real issue of people with genetic disorders and the efeects of nuclear and bio weapons. Haven’t we all seen the pictures of people affected by “agent orange” in Vietnam. By bringing this issue to the forefront the director has enabled us to see them as a discriminated lot rather than monstrous. This is a decent movie with no big stars and no big acting just watch it for the thrills .i hope you like it.

asian games fiasco

i watched the asian games with keen interest as im a sport buff.i watch all types of sports and if india plays in it you dont even have to ask.anyways, our performance in the asian games was pretty ordinary we could have done better .Like converting the silver into gols as you can see eventhough we were in the 8th spot we would have made the 5 the spot in the total medal category.what is heartening to see is that india is winning medals in many sports like sailing and even wushu. But gold medal is what counts so the players should strive to be the best. our sad state of hockey is accentuated in this asian game.our womens hockey team has shown improvement.overall im dissapointed with the performance of our indian atheletes who returned with just one gold medal.the government should invest more in the sports infrastructure and stress on physical education in the school to develop a strong sports culture in our country.

watching 6 movies in 24 hours

during the last week while buying a head phone i found that the shop even seels pirated dvds of english movies it had 3 movies in one dvd for just 30 rs.so i bought 2 dvds anf finishes watching all the movies within 24 hours even after foinf to my class in between cool isn't it.anyways the movies are he saw trilogy, the brothers grimm,v for vendetta and the hills have eyes.all are pretty good movies each with a different concept.here are my reviews for all the movies .

v for vendetta

I was trying to watch this movie for a long time .finally I bought the dvd and saw it.it wasn’t as good as I expected but anyways let go to the review .v for vendetta is actually a graphic novel written by alan moore .it was originally written to target the thatcherite England, the wachowski brothers did i a movie adaptation of this play, lets get to the movie ,the movie starts with the words “remember the 5th of November” which allures to the infamous gunpowder plot .if you rad the link you would probably get a better idea of the political overtone of this movie

It is set in a futuristic world in london where a totalitarian regime is present,ti is said that this regime controlled and united the country sfter a string of biological attacks and riots.Natalie portman is evey Hammond who was attacked in the night by the secret police but was saved by a masked person who introduces himself just as the letter “v” as v for vendetta. After that he demolishes a building and appears on tv warnimg the current government for deceit and promising to blow up the houses of parliament the next year, on the same day .through the course of the movie we learn the story of v that he was originally a prisoner and a subject for clinical experiments which had resulted in deaths of many prisoners he seem to survive and even acquire heightened mental and physical abilities.he escapes from prison and vows to get revenge on all those responsible for the experiments.through a series of events evey who at first considered v as amonster falls in love with him and decides to help him in his cause .we learn near the ending of the movie that the present regime were responsible for the previous biological attacks so that they can gain power by developing a vaccine for the attack so that the people would have no other choice but to depend on them .similar to the anti virus software makers ,make the virus first and then the antidote to it further their businesses.anyways .as the deadline date nears the police intensifies their search for v. v starts killing one by one the people responsible for the clinical experiments. Before the November 5th v tells evey of his love for her but he has a greater love for revenge and leaves it to evey to start the train with bombs to attack the parliament to get his final revenge on the chancellor,v is mortally wounded in the fight and evey fulfils v’s vendetta by starting the train with v’s body in it .this is the synopsis of the story.

This movie can be seen once.but there are serious flaws in this movie regarding the ease with which a single man like v can fill a train with bombs and direct it towards the parliament that’s ridiculous how could a guy who has said he would attack a particular place on a particular day in advance managed to do that .probably the police in the future is dumber than now.anyways, just for you information the original writer of this novel alan moore has denounced this movie and said that it has some serious deviation in plot and more political than in his novel ,anyways as far as the acting is concerned only Natalie Portman has a role and she does it pretty well.the charcterisation of v is pretty good (almost like the phantom of the opera type)hugo weaving acted as v but I don’t think he would have relished acting all through the movie in a mask.overall this movie is probably good for its dialogue some of them could make it into a nice political conversation but otherwise there is nothing spectacular.

mysore attacks

sir,
The recent shootout in mysore clearly indicates the network of the terrorist
organization in the south.they are trying to attack the economy of India
which is shifting to the south .i think it is better for India to create a
anti terror unit in the central govt which has certain powers ,I dont think
the local police men had to do the job everytime as they did in th mysore
Thats asking too much of them and they also tend to be more corrupt
If we had an independent anti terror unit then we can get them to be more
efficient in their as they specifically target terrorists and they can have
units in every state to help them co-ordinate
Cause this is because I dont feel secure when the same police men who take
bribe for nothing will protect me in case of a terrorist attack.

thank you

icc vs bcci

hi,
first i would like to mention certain issues .i hope that bcci doesnt sign
the mpa its a trap by the icc to make india pay them 1.5 billion dollars
which is the amount india has to pay inorder to play international matches
which is ridiculous why should we pay such a large amount just to play
.clearly icc is trying to squeeze india as much as it could ,i think that
the other countries too would agree to mpa cause what is their problem its
india which is funding the icc the truth is 80% of funding of the icc comes
from bcci even the money of the respective boards is only when india plays
in their countries .i think the situation can be best said in this lalit
modi interview

in the recent icc champions trophy we dont even have the media accredition
rights even the side screen in the stadiums belongs to the icc whats going
on here i think lalit modi has stated it clearly that its like east india
company tying our hands and asking us money to pay for what is ours .this is
ridiculous for once can india show some intelligence and come out of this
situation profitably .when will india ever learn to be more assertive in the
international arena lets take the bagihar dam issue we have stopped the
construction of this dam because of the pakistans objection whereas do u
guys know that australia is pumping oil from the coast of east timor but
they dont object cause they are a new country with no strong government this
is the hypocrisy of the west ,some of them suffer from the colonial hangover
still expecting some freebies fron the asian countries
its time we fight back all the other asian countries wont support us cause
they are just jealous and they dont have much to lose from the mpa its like
india has to pay for getting our own salary ,this is stupid .

i hope you all would know that the best for any country economically is to
discard the international matches and concentrate on the domestic ones.look
at the ameriacn sports allof them areonly in the nba even when usa lost to
greece(did u know that greece plays basketball) in the world championships
.look at football the english premier league has 100 times more money than
the brazilian league

infact the english market their league in other asian countries as well ,
its time we should stand up to this hypocrisy and watch our backs first
im a cricket fan but i think that i can stop watching some international
matches as well
if we dont get a fair deal we dont need the icc the icc needs us its time we
pulled our weight in this world

let me give you another exmple india got a chance to host the 2010
commonwealth games why after so longer time did we get the chance malaysia
and jamaica got it before us come on does jamaica deserve a chance before us
it doesnt stop with this ,after a few weeks of this announcement there was
some english official who came to delhi to campaign for 2012 london and got
indias endorsement for london by saying that india should repay england
,what india should repay england for what giving india a chance when all
other countries had theirs we are like children in this international
diplomacy its like stealing candy from the babies

come on india !!! lets make sure that we get it right atleast this whoever
you are lets support lalit modi he is an intelligent fella and he is
certainly one who could negotiate ,we should encourage him i can wait to see
what will happen

in the news

why is the indian govt wasting time giving evidence to the pakistan govt .i dont know ,does the russian or the us govt gave evidence to each other to prove the intelligence agencies involvement .this is ridiculous how can i country which has dawood ibrahim and the one who got released for the indian airlines hijacking agree to any such evidence.the sight of the that person being paraded in karachi publicly as a hero is still in my eyes ,how can the indian government and the media be so stupid in their understanding of the situation.

fellow friends lets go to the news right away
indian women seem to be doing a better job than their male counterparts in the hockey world cup india should have won today if no for the bias of the tv umpire who disallowed a goal citing dangerous play.i have seen far more dangerous play than that which have been allowed as goals in the mens world cup or for that matter in this world cup as well , india deserved to win ,our womens team have shown consideravle improvement and definitely deserve a place in the top 8 of the world ,especially suronder kaur who has already become one of the leading scorers of the world cup as always our indian media hasnt focussed on this event ,dont you think that its time to demand correct decisions from the umpires we alyas seemed to be at the loggerheads with the governing bodies of any sport for more information use this link

south asian games 2006

the recent south asian games is probably the worst for netizens cause there is no decent websiteregarding the event. the site is scrappy to say the least and it takes atleast 3 days for them to update it . this is bad!!! however india is doing well as always in the games but i think that india shouldnt be participating in such useless games as india has sent their under 20 sides for the hockey and football events.even the shooters arent participating .saying all that i think india can do better in sports like boxing and cycling .though it seems to get some international exposure foe new talent but i hardlythink it as a platform for the future cause there is a wide gap between the olympics and this event .the aim of this game is promote co-operation among the south asian countries eventhough i have to say that its going to take more than a games event to promote co-operation and peace

"hairy issue"

the time has probably come for us to look at the issue from the point of race.the most important point that came out from the hair letter, is that the 500,00 $ compensation asked by hair.the yearly salary for an umpire is about 110,000 $(or is it pounds) . if you convert it into rupees it is 88 lakhs (wow) per annum.probably it is more profitable to become an umpire rather than a player , given the fact that are not even one indian umpire in the elite panel. time for some thought

cricket in westindies

when will our guys ever learn to win outside the sub continent even good form and a record of consecutive wins could'nt foce them to win. in my personal opinion irfan pathan was the big disappointment not to mention sehwag and dhoni it time we seriously think about other alternative , now we have to wait for the tests in which we have a pathetic record

medha patkar

i simply cant understand wats going on with this woman she goes on hunger strike for a couple of thousands displaced due to the dam rather than forgetting about the million who will get benefitted by the adequate water supply and also prevent floods , this is some medievalistic thinking where people have no knowledge about dams and their importance , its only because of people like these that india is still back ward .we have to set our priorities right.

tamil nadu elections

iam a first time voter i simply cant wait to exercise my right to vote . iam
in bit of confusion about my vote iam certainly not falling for any of the
sops announced by the parties but saying al that i think that there is not
much differencebetween the 2 pparties except for the fact that the dmk is
more of a family party than the other , it would be interesting to see
whether vijaykanth can get to tthe hearts of tamils if he performs well in
this election then i will perhaps think about him in the future anyways hope
that we have a peaceful election
