I finished watching the movie "Iam legend " last week.I liked it ,this is a movie of a different genre where it touches upon the human emotions rather than on special effects.

I have seen two more movies (wonderful movies at that).I dont have words to describe the last two movies first is the movie which has two oscar ward winners in the lead roles .I'm talking about the nice movie "THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIRE" and then the other movie "DEATH NOTE" the japanese movie which has all the elemnts in it as usual adapted from a Manga series as most japanese movies are.

The first movie is about a single mother (Halle berry) recovering from the loss of her husband and her struggle with life where she also seems to care for her husband's best friend (Benicio del Toro)who was a drug addict as he would have if he was alive.This movie has highly emotional scenes and really captivates the viewer and certainly gives you a deep insight into drug addiction.

The second movie is exciting in its original story and concept ,only a japanese manga can come up with such a story.This is about a youngster getting a book by chance which is a Death note which says that any name written in the book the very instant that person to whom the name belongs dies.You will also get some insight on japanese superstitions like a "Shinigami" etc.. this is adapted from a series so this isnt going to stop with one movie ,looking forward to the next parts.

Fracture movie review

Fracture is a legal Suspense thriller with Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling in it.
I has this on streaming mainly due to the fact that Hopkins was in it and its a crime thriller but this wasnt upto expectations.
The story starts with Mr Crawford(Hopkins) spying on his wife having an affair with a police interrogator, then he kills his wife(in a coma) and even gives a confession but it was all planned in such a way that he gives his confession to his wifes lover thereby making the confession invalid.This is where the prosecutor (Ryan Gosling) faces problems as he was soon going to shift to a rich Legal firm and he cant afford to screw up his last case as a prosecutor.On the lack of evidence(with him refusing to take false evidence implicating crawford)the prosecutor gives up on the case and Crawford is acquitted.
Soon Mrs Crawford was taken off life support system on the request of her husband and the last line of hope also disappears for his conviction.This is where the protagonist discovers a new piece of evidence to support his case and makes a final attempt to convict Mr Crawford.This movie is more legal than suspense and worth a watch but far from getting a good movie experience

Smokin Aces movie review

I saw this movie cause i heard that Ben Affleck is in it but i have to say that it didnt matter whether he is in it or not cause he just has to say a few lines and dies pretty soon.This movie is about the mafioso killing each other where one famous mafia kingpin "sparazzo" puts a bounty on his rival "buddy israel".This movie then turns towards the list of contenders for taking the life of buddy.Buddy has just snitched which led to his bounty.The movie then seems to surround about the preparation done by the various mercenaries on their mission but after a while the movie seems to lose focus and tither on random shooting and killing scenes which doesn't do well for the flow of the movie.In many ways you could say that the Director kind of got confused in giving importance to all the characters and ended up with no definite climax nor story per se.The killer for this movie is definitely the ending where a BIZARRE explanation is given where the FBI itself is going to kill buddy israel inorder to give a heart transplant to the very man they are trying to capture"Sparazzo" who was actually a FBI agent infiltrating the mob but later became the mob itself.If he has converted into a mobster then why the hell is the FBI trying to save him inspite of all the crimes he has done in the past 60 years ,Yes he was supposed to be an FBI agent in the 40s.Then atleast both buddy and sparazzo gets killed(ha a sigh of relief,not to mention buddy is supposed to be the son of sparazzo)This movie is a waste to the core.Nothing is happening in this movie a complete waste of your time,but i have to say that Ryan reynolds impressed me though.

i watched the movie satham podathey a fe days back, i liked it but it wasn't as good as previous vasanth movies but it is original and for that we should credit him.Besides he has clearly shown his finesse in cinematography and directing skills , this is a low budget movie and most probably must have been easily broken even.Kudos to prithiviraj for his acting in this ,movie though this is similar to "mozhi" character.besides this I'm currently watching "team america " which came about four years back i have been itching to watch this ovie but not until now did i get it so im thriilled and excited about it.

war movie review

i was expecting much from this movie cause two of my favourite actors are there in jet li and jason statham but i have to say that there wasnt much acting or action in this movie with terrible dialogue and not much action which could have been done.the director has lost it completely where both jet li and jason never get to show their action or acting even if jet li has no acting skills.the only saving grace in this movie is the ending which will be totally unexpected and very original but otherwise the actors were used bad with no apparent effort to construct a story.so thumbs down for this movie

disturbia

i saw the movie disturbia online last week where i wasnt impressed with the movie.this is a decent flick where many scenes are like you have already seen in any previous movie the ending wasnt great and just followed the usual way out the acting was good and the young actors didn't spoil the movie.There is not much thrills in this movie especially if you have seen movies like saw and hostel.this is a decent movie with young upcoming actors.the story goes like this: our hero is a high school student who is recovering from the loss of his father to a car accident ,he was put under house arrest for punching his spanish teacher.Being restrained in his home he tries to peek into his neighbour's lives to kill the time.Thats when he starts noticing weird things happening in one of his neighbour's home and starts doubting him to be a serial killer.Now starts the action where he starts to find out whether his doubts are true or not along with his friends.this is somewhat similar to REAR WINDOW movie but without the chills.anyways this movie wasnt like a great movie and i havent seen a great movie for a long time hopefully one will come soon

nice movie it was i just watched 50% of a movie which was released in 2006 "cursed" which had christina ricci in it.that was the worst horror flick of recent times cause it looked like a movie going nowhere.

he rupee factor + wage hike did impact the Q1 margins, also a 1 % decline QoQ in volume growth created the 20% decline in profits QoQ, well, it has been a bad quarter for all the IT cos, whether it is Infy, TCS, Wipro or Tech Mahindra or Satyam. The mid cap ones have been hit somewhat more, but then the midcaps also show growths of 20 % QoQ compared to 5 to 10 % for large caps. Anyway, for most shareholders of IT cos it has been a tough time, and their conviction has surely been tested severely. For NIITTech, the last 4 quarters, the consolidated EPS stands at, 6.85 + 8.93 + 11.83 + 8.97 = 36.58, and at a price of 470 it trades at 12.84 times the last 4 quarter EPS. I think this has been the lowest profit multiple for NIITTech for a long time, and the reason is fairly known to everyone, the rupee appreciation has made the IT sector go out of favor, coupled with a bad Q1 has lead to a drastic fall in the profit multiples. For an investor, if u decide to sell NIITTech, you would park your money in some other stock, then compare what profit multiple you are paying against the growth expected. This is called the PEG ratio, for example, a company expected to grow its bottomline by 50 %, and has a profit multiple of 50, then the PEG ratio is 50/50 = 1, the lower the ratio, the better it is, bcoz u r paying less multiple compared to the expected growth rate. For example, considering that rupee does not appreciate steeply in the rest of year as it did in Q1, i still expect NIITtech to have a top line of 1050 to 1150 cr, and a profit of 175-185 cr, which is a growth of 35 to 45 % in the bottom line in FY 07 over FY 06. At a profit multiple of 12.8, u will get a PEG ratio of 12.8/40 = 0.32, which is one of the cheapest PEG, and also the cheapest amongst its peers. Anyway, use this methodology when u shift ur portfolio. In the stock marketet, what matters is conviction, and conviction comes from selecting a good company, and paying the lowest possible price. Both parts are very important, while most people can identify a good company (it doesnt require special skill to know that Infy, TCS are excellent cos in their sector, or HDFC and ICICI are in banking), but it requires a special type of emotional aptitude and fortitude to have the second skill. While many analysts can run discounted cash flow analysis on a excel worksheet, the only thing for a layman investor as per my opinion is to pay as less a profit multiple, and then hold for as long as possible. At some point of time, ur conviction will be tested in every sector, if u look at Bharti\\\\\\\\`s results closely u will realize the consistent fall in ARPU\\\\\\\\`s (Average revenue per user), and the day the growth in user base matches the fall in ARPU, the growth in bottomline will taper of. In Q2, u will see further impact of high interest rates on Banks and real estate. So, at some point in the year, the market will favor some, while some of these will go out of favor. As a investor, u get the opportunity when a sector gets badly beaten up due to some event, and some companies within that sector get a much sever beating than others, and then u buy those stocks which nobody wants. Be greedy when others are fearful, and be fearful when others are greedy-this is the only maxim which works on the market, but it is very very hard to follow, so damn hard that even after so many years i still get sucked into the wrong side, that is being fearful when others are fearful and being greedy when others are greedy, it is battle which will go on forever, but u will improve if u keep at it. Like any other game it requires practice, even Sachin Tendulkar fishes at a ball outside offstump and edges it, when he knows very well that he should leave it, it is something like that, the temptation to hit a ball which you should be leaving. The difference between a Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli was not talent, it was emotional strength. Take ur call on NIITTech, if u hv identified a better option, relook the PEG ratio and other parameters, get the conviction in whichever stock u r entering, otherwise u will end up paying brokerage fees and commissions, it has been a very tough quarter for IT cos, and i think it will be by the end of second quarter when they may start turning around, so take ur call, if u wish to stick with NIITTech u will hv to broaden ur horizon to atleast another 3 quarters. I hv downsized my targets for end of year for NIITTech, and i think with a profit of around 175 to 185 cr, and a profit multiple of 15 times, it is a market cap of 2800 - 3000 cr, which is a price of approx. 720, of course, there is a potential upside as and when the market turns in favor of IT cos, and in that case, it might go upto 900, but on a safer side, a target of 720-750 by April 08 is reasonable, approx. a return of 60% in 8-9 months fm todays price of 465. Again, lot of assumptions rest in this projection, and do ur own analysis and believe in that, ther is no other way, happy investing!

went and attended the interview in annanagar for bhaskar&co in chintamani which is near my house, so i think that i can start working tommorrow itself but i have tried KPMG as well.and they have told me to come there on monday.so its better for me to wait and watch as i gain experience first through this firm first and them maybe i can try and see whether i can take the grind of the work of a big firm.anyways i was browsing through you tube as usual and i came across a channel which has some nice clips and i'm posting one of them here
