Berserk : Anime series

It has been a longtime since I have really watch a full anime series. So  went to my animeguru GRarkada for any new series which would intrigue me.The recommendation was Berserk.

They said that the original 97 version is the better than the current version so I went to th'e aniem streaming' website to view this cult classic

Two episodes in and I should say Im hooked !!!. What is really interesting is that the way they started 'the' series with an interesting' narrative on the mindset of the protagonist Gatsu literally dealing with his inner demons .

After  the intial fight scene we could see that the story would be told in flashbacks ala street fighter. I guess the relationship & tension between Gatsu and Griffith would play a pivotal role in the series. It is 25 episodes long. Lets see whether I would be able to finish it. Would be my first in a long time.

No Game No Life Anime

Since it was an extended weekend this week I got an opportunity to checkout some anime series . Ever since Steins gate I havent really watched any other series so it was long overdue for an anime crazed guy like me. Wat can I say about this series. This is a really weird series.......

This is about Bro/Sis combo who are hikikomori gamers who never lose in any game they play even if their opponents cheat. So they are invited by a Gog "Tet" into his world where every argument and conflict is resolved through game.So thats where all the action starts. After binge watching the entire season of 12 episodes I cannot believe that there is no second series cause it looks like we are only through 25% of the story. Apparently this anime is more like a selling point for the manga and other related media.This is a very unique anime series for me as I have never seen anything like this before. I thought it is going to go like Phi brain and waited for the complexity in the games but NGNL is much more than that, there is some really confusing relationships in this series and sometimes it feels like you are watching an ecchi genre series. Somehow the creators have tried to create a colorful anime on gaming with the twisted characterization of Sora/Shiro which I believe is one of the most questionable relationship ever in anime and the sheer exploitation of Stephanie Dola character was really exhausting after a point.This series could have been a lot better but still ok for the hiatus I had from anime.

Catherine - Manga style Game

Found this game on youtube. Cant wait to see the full walkthrough in one of my favorite Game commentator channels - GHOSTROBO. This is the guy who did an amazing LA Noire walkthrough. Catherine  is developed by the japanese game developer Altus. Japan is known for their anime style games based on the Manga Series but this is the true Anime style game Im going to witness. Devil May cry Ghost in the shell are more action oriented games this is a true story oriented game with anime cutscenes rather than a graphic cutscenes used nowadays.

Bartender - frozen Daquiri (Hemingway)

This anime series on the different cocktails and their background stories is amazing. Love each episode and the way it correlates the person coming into the bar with the history behind the drink. This episode about Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea" is a good and a moving one.....

Death Note - Anime and Manga Ending

Have seen the live action version of Death Note a few years back but just cam across the anime episodes.The anime version was much more darker and tragic than the live action one.The final two episodes were a real treat.
The death of Yagami Light is closer to the Manga Version.
